Position Overview
A remarkable opportunity has emerged for a proactive and enthusiastic nurse to engage in a full-time role as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) within the Gastroenterology department. This position will be part of the esteemed IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) nursing team, incorporating responsibilities related to nutritional care.
The role offers invaluable clinical exposure at a leading institution specializing in the treatment of patients with intricate inflammatory bowel disease, encompassing both inpatient and outpatient environments.
Key Responsibilities
The nursing team is responsible for evaluating, reviewing, and managing care for patients diagnosed with IBD, including necessary medication adjustments. The caseload exceeds 3000 patients, with referrals coming from general practitioners and other healthcare professionals within the organization.

This includes pre-treatment education and screening for biologic therapies. For hospitalized patients, the team provides specialized treatment input to facilitate timely discharges.
In relation to the nutritional aspect of the role, responsibilities will include supporting patients requiring enteral and parenteral nutrition, with guidance from the Intestinal Failure team.
