This position will play a key role in the strategic growth of the UK business, serving as the primary point of contact for all procurement inquiries. The successful candidate will lead and manage the Procurement and Contract Management Teams, driving performance optimization and ensuring the delivery of strategic objectives.
The Procurement team is responsible for securing supplier contracts that balance cost reduction, value engineering, and risk management. The Contract Management Team oversees the performance of outsourced partners and ensures adherence to UK-wide relationship management standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to direct reports, identifying opportunities to transform the delivery of the function, including sourcing activity, onboarding, local and central reporting, governance, and control.
- Oversee the Procurement & Supplier Management Committee's delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Manage the annual sourcing activity program, including central expense and savings reporting, to drive business value.
- Oversight all sourcing activities within the UK team's remit, including SSJ and direct negotiation activities, with some major RFP contracts under individual responsibility.
- Ensure the implementation and regular review of end-to-end policies, sourcing limits, procedures, and control frameworks to support business strategic aims.
- Lead engagement with central and UK territory counterparts to promote best practices and adherence to Group Norms.
- Manage the Essential and Sensitive Suppliers list, TPRM process, regulatory changes, and associated governance.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in a Senior Procurement role, preferably within the Financial Services sector.
- Proven expertise in IT Procurement, with experience in other indirect categories.
- Background in Professional Services or Financial Services, with a strong understanding of industry norms and best practices.
