Maintenance Technician - Job Description

**Role Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Renewi Group. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant, which is dedicated to extracting value from waste and contributing to a sustainable society.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Carry out plant upgrades and modifications to the required standards
* Report all work carried out through our computerized maintenance management system
* Develop and implement a program of planned preventative maintenance and inspection to minimize downtime
* Be available for planned maintenance shutdown periods with reasonable notice
* Liaise with external contractors on specific repairs/maintenance, including some weekend working
* Implement and ensure compliance with all company policies, processes, and procedures

**Essential Criteria**

* Experienced Mechanical/Multi-Skilled Engineer working in a process or production environment
* Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to a changing environment as required
* HNC/HND/C+G (or Industry equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is preferable but not essential
* Good level of experience working to clearly defined KPIs and delivering continuous improvement within an operational environment
* Knowledge and practical experience of large Conveyors, Chain Drives, Hydraulics, material Compactors, Shredders, Overhead cranes, and Pneumatics is desirable
