About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients with mental health conditions, leading a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of our mental health services.

Main Responsibilities

The main clinical duties of this role include conducting assessments and clinics for new patients and follow-up reviews, leading the weekly MDT meeting to review patient progress, and assisting with task management for patients. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing treatment plans, working closely with other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the education and training of junior staff.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have full GMC registration, be included on the Specialist Register of the GMC, or be eligible for entry to the Specialist Register within 6 months. You will also need to have Section 12 Approved status and Approved Clinician Status. Remuneration will be as set out in the terms of the New Consultant Contract according to previous experience.
