Educational Behaviour Specialist Needed

Position: Educational Behaviour Specialist
Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement behaviour support strategies as outlined by educators and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), ensuring effective management of challenging behaviours.
  • Provide individualized or small group support to students facing behavioural difficulties, assisting them in understanding and regulating their emotions in various contexts.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive educational atmosphere by encouraging positive behaviour and social skills among learners.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCO, and external experts to develop and assess behaviour intervention plans tailored to the unique needs of each student.
  • Track student behaviour and progress, maintaining detailed records and offering constructive feedback to educators and guardians as needed.
  • Support educators in fostering a productive learning environment by employing proactive strategies and offering assistance during lessons.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students exhibiting behavioural challenges in educational or related environments.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Strong empathy, patience, and resilience to effectively assist students in managing their behaviours and emotions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, staff, and guardians.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively, contributing positively to the school community.
