Senior MEP Cost Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Associate MEP Cost Manager to join our team at Turner & Townsend. As a key member of our cost management team, you will be responsible for conducting feasibility studies, writing procurement reports, and managing estimating and cost planning activities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct feasibility studies and write procurement reports to ensure effective project planning and execution.
- Apply Value Management techniques to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize project outcomes.
- Manage estimating and cost planning activities, including developing and presenting the final cost plan.
- Oversee the procurement process, ensuring that all stages are performed effectively, from pre-qualification to contract preparation.
- Manage the tender process for MEP packages, including tender document preparation, clarifications, interviews, and tender recommendation reports.
- Ensure effective post-contract cost variance and change control processes.
- Manage cost checking and valuation work to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present them to clients.
- Lead value engineering and life cycle costing initiatives to optimize project outcomes.
- Negotiate and agree final accounts, validate monthly payment claims, and prepare payment recommendations for MEP-related works/packages.
- Interface with clients and other consultants at all project stages, providing expert cost management advice and guidance.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in related fields, with a strong background in cost management and estimation.
- Excellent technical knowledge and experience across the full range of cost management duties, including cost estimates, bills of quantities, value engineering, tendering, and contract knowledge.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade others.
