About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Safeguarding Adults Officer to join our central safeguarding team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of safeguarding adults officers, providing expert guidance and support to ensure the effective delivery of safeguarding adults services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team of safeguarding adults officers, providing guidance and support to ensure the effective delivery of safeguarding adults services.
  • Chair safeguarding adults meetings and lead 'service level' safeguarding responses to concerns around organisational abuse.
  • Undertake service monitoring activities and work with a wide variety of multi-agency partners to ensure effective safeguarding practices.
  • Support other adult care teams in their complex safeguarding responses and provide advice and guidance on safeguarding adults matters to local authority and multi-agency partners.
  • Play a key role in supporting the work of the safeguarding adults board sub-groups, policy and process development, and training.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A relevant qualification in health or social care, such as Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing.
  • Demonstrable experience in the field of safeguarding adults, with extensive knowledge of the Care Act and associated legislation.
  • Experience of chairing and leading multi-agency meetings, with an awareness of the role of the safeguarding adults board and its functions.
