We are in search of a dedicated and empathetic Special Educational Needs Support Assistant to become a vital part of our team.
The ideal candidate will closely collaborate with educators and other specialists to facilitate the learning and growth of children with communication and interaction challenges.
This role is essential in assisting pupils to navigate obstacles to learning and accomplish their personal objectives.
- Deliver individualized and small group assistance to children with communication and interaction challenges.
- Support the execution of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
- Assist pupils in enhancing their social skills and fostering positive relationships with peers.
- Work in partnership with teachers and therapists to implement tailored interventions and support strategies.
- Track and document pupils' progress, providing constructive feedback to the educational team and families.
- Encourage independence and bolster self-esteem among pupils.
Preferred qualifications include experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those facing communication and interaction challenges. A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN support is advantageous but not mandatory.
Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures is essential.
