Electrical Operations Support Engineer

BOSS Energy Consulting LTD is seeking an experienced Electrical Operations Support Engineer to join their team at a leading climate technology company in East Anglia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating and maintaining electrical units at the company's pilot plant in Norfolk.
  • Conducting safe start-up procedures for DAC modules.
  • Maintaining and reporting on sustained operations over extended periods.
  • Ensuring adherence to the company's Health & Safety culture.
  • Collaborating with the Plant Operations Manager to execute the pilot plant experimental plan.
  • Reporting on unit performances, identifying failure modes, and proposing improvement plans.
  • Troubleshooting issues and maintaining accurate records for required interventions.
  • Participating in failure analysis using multiple methodologies to find root causes and propose improvement plans.
  • Executing maintenance routines and deputizing for the Plant Operations Manager as needed.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience in the electrical industry.
  • Strong understanding of Reliability, Availability, Maintenance / OEE.
  • Experience operating and repairing electrical units.
  • Interest in developing skills in a start-up environment with new technology.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience running and repairing Research & Development pilot facilities.
  • Suitable safety accreditation, e.g. NEBOSH.
  • Lean operational certificate, e.g. six sigma or equivalent.
  • Continuous improvement training / programme experience.
  • Engineering Level 3 qualification.
  • Good understanding of hazard and risk identification.
