Electrical & Instrumentation Technician

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our team at Procter & Gamble's Manchester Plant. As an E&I Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance of electrical equipment, troubleshooting circuit problems, and assisting with service calls.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain electrical equipment and troubleshoot circuit problems, including installing, rebuilding, commissioning, or repairing electrical equipment as needed.
- Work closely with the operating area team to ensure business goals are achieved, and provide insights into work team performance.
- Assist operations technicians in troubleshooting and emergency repairs, and support and learn Mechanical Maintenance skills and tasks as necessary.
- Ensure personal safety and assist in maintaining the safety of other team members and contractors, following all safety rules and safe work procedures.
- Productivity and Reliability: safely troubleshoot issues by reading logic in PLCs and other control equipment, use diagnostic equipment, and troubleshoot issues related to production machine coordinated drives.
What We Offer
- Competitive Salary: a starting rate of £767.67 per week basic pay, plus a weekly specialist premium of £92.31 and £98 per week for shift premium.

Job Qualifications
- A minimum time-served apprenticeship in an Electrical discipline to HNC/NVQ-3/NQF3.
- A high level of personal accountability and ownership for results, showing leadership potential and not afraid to accept difficult challenges.
- Willingness to suggest and implement changes that will improve systems, work processes, and equipment reliability.
- Strong team players with excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow cross-shift and function interaction.
