About the Role

Optime Group is seeking a meticulous and organized Payroll Administrator to join our team on a 12-month maternity cover basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Collation and Entry: Gather, verify, and enter payroll data into the payroll system
  • Payroll Processing: Assist in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll runs
  • Compliance: Ensure payroll activities comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant legislation
  • Records Maintenance: Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve payroll-related queries from employees promptly and professionally
  • Reporting: Generate and distribute payroll reports as required by management
  • Support: Provide general administrative support to the Payroll Manager as needed
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within payroll or finance
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and processing
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Customer Service: Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Experience with payroll software is a plus
