CDM Principal Designer Opportunity

RED Engineering Design is seeking a highly experienced CDM Principal Designer to join our team in London or Bicester. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of our clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and cooperate with team members, duty holders, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant duties.
  • Provide pre-construction information to designers, contractors, and other internal team members.
  • Assist clients in validating health and safety credentials of contractors.
  • Undertake safety by design review workshops and attend client meetings.
  • Guide the design team and client through health and safety requirements.
  • Organize design risk workshops and review designers' risk assessments.
  • Liaise with client representatives, Principal Contractors, and contractors regarding health and safety.
  • Review Principal Contractors' information and identify surveys required.
  • Produce and issue fee schedules and project reports.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role with a focus on Construction Design Management.
  • Experience working on projects led by MEP services, data centers, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of MEP building services and UK Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate with designers and contractors, and deliver contract and program management.
  • Fluent English speaker with other language skills desirable.
