Success in this position hinges on your ability to quickly assimilate new information. Cyber threats are constantly evolving, and it is essential for us to stay ahead. You will engage with both e2e-assure's proprietary technology and various external software solutions, including those from Microsoft and AWS.
Our team will provide continuous support, and comprehensive training will be available to facilitate your rapid learning and ongoing development.
This position requires shift work, including night shifts, with a rotating schedule that may involve unsociable hours.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Information Security Specialist at e2e-assure, you will work closely with our clients to ensure their online safety and provide assistance during security incidents. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting threat hunting and detection, as well as evaluating potential security issues and incidents.
- Developing alerts and protocols for identifying potential vulnerabilities and incidents.
- Refining existing security alerts to resolve issues, minimize false positives, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Engaging with clients to communicate relevant security concerns.
- Generating actionable threat intelligence and performing vulnerability assessments, reviewing results, and communicating findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborating with clients to deliver pertinent training and review sessions, aiding them in achieving proactive security measures.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new concepts and apply them effectively.
- A genuine interest in information security and an understanding of its significance in today's world.
- Strong planning and organizational skills to manage time-sensitive projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication abilities, particularly in written English.
- Capability to perform under pressure.
- A collaborative team player, contributing to a diverse team environment where responsibilities are shared.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and completing tasks.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in an information security setting, a degree in information security or a related field, or relevant certifications (though these are not mandatory).
Additional Information:
Shifts / Working Hours: This role necessitates shift work, including night shifts, with a rotating schedule that may include unsociable hours. Specific arrangements will be discussed with management, and shift work will commence following a training period.
Options for part-time and flexible working arrangements are available; please indicate your interest during the application process.
Compensation: The salary range is £25,000 to £45,000, based on experience, with an additional £5,000 night shift premium for eligible employees.
Work Environment: The position is based in our SOC, with the flexibility to work from home for a significant portion of the time, while attending the office periodically as required.
