Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our HR function, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our People and Organisation Plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of the People and Organisation Plan for the enabling functions, working closely with HR Business Partners and People Managers to ensure effective delivery.
- Provide operational advice on a range of employment and performance issues, using your business acumen and relationship management skills to influence and facilitate change.
- Investigate and resolve complex generalist queries requiring business knowledge and face-to-face handling, providing expert guidance and support to People Managers and employees.
- Review business-related people data to identify potential implications and initiate local actions to resolve these as appropriate, ensuring effective talent management and strategic workforce planning.
- Enable functional strength and resource resilience by supporting talent development, organisational effectiveness, and strategic workforce planning activities.
- Channel information to and from the Employee Service Centre and provide guidance to the business on how to access appropriate support, promoting self-service functionality and employee empowerment.
Requirements:
- Human Resources or related subject degree or equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
- Experience partnering with business stakeholders to influence and challenge constructively, ensuring development of solutions that meet business needs.
- Ability to explain complex people subject matter to line managers, providing advice, guidance, coaching, and direction, investigating and resolving complex people issues.
- Experience handling and presenting data to demonstrate evidence-based decision making, with a strong analytical mindset.
- Experience identifying People and Organisation priorities as a HR Business Partner, delivering operational people and organisation outcomes, and reacting to business needs with some complexity involved.
