Job Title: Energy Asset Modelling Specialist

The Energy Asset Modelling Specialist plays a critical role in providing Uniper with data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to enhance the performance and profitability of its energy assets. This role involves developing and enhancing optimization models to describe Uniper's option space and the different possible outcomes under various market scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain optimization models for Uniper's energy assets, including power stations, heat grids, energy storage, and renewables.
  • Run models with multiple technical scenarios and market price sensitivities to provide comprehensive analyses on Uniper and third-party assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance asset modelling and links to related processes.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for investment decisions and strategy projects based on model outcomes.
Requirements:
  • PhD or Master's degree in Energy Asset Modelling, Operations Research, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in energy asset optimization and modelling in academia and/or industry.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in optimization and simulation software.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the ability to translate complex modelling results into actionable strategies.
