We are seeking a dynamic and experienced literary scout to join our UK team on a maternity cover basis.

About the Role:

This is a linchpin position that requires active scouting in the UK, Australian, and Canadian markets, as well as essential tasks such as:

  • Managing client relationships
  • Tracking submissions and reading materials
  • Writing and sending reader's reports
  • Overseeing office systems and book fair scheduling

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • At least three years' experience in the publishing industry
  • Existing contacts in the London literary scene
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • A solid understanding of the publishing industry, including agenting, foreign rights selling, and editorial processes
