Weekly Hours:
22 hours, Monday to Friday, with some early starts required.

At City Facilities Management, we are dedicated to ensuring that our partner stores are safe, compliant, and well-maintained. We are currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Facilities Management Team as Maintenance Assistants, responsible for a single store.


Key Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Assistant will undertake various general maintenance and support tasks, including:

  • Executing scheduled planned maintenance tasks (e.g., fire alarm tests, water temperature checks, and cleaning).
  • Conducting weekly defrosting procedures for store equipment.
  • Performing minor repairs to building fabric.
  • Assisting with basic decorating tasks.
  • Handling minor plumbing and joinery repairs.
  • Completing miscellaneous ad-hoc tasks as required.

All tasks must be carried out in accordance with our Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • A diverse set of practical skills and experience in maintenance trades.
  • A proactive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong self-motivation.
  • Basic IT skills, including familiarity with tablets and common software applications.
  • Good communication abilities.
  • A valid UK driver's license for roles covering multiple stores.
  • Physical fitness to handle lifting and moving heavy items.
