Store Manager Role

As a Store Manager at Morrisons, you will be responsible for leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service and drive commercial performance in your store. Your entrepreneurial spirit and passion for spotting and developing talent will be key to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team to create a culture where customer experience is the best in the market, in line with the Morrisons brand.
  • Work hard to get the best out of your store's commercial performance, treating it as if it was your own business, always thinking of new ways to improve your offering.
  • Lead on all people activities including recruitment, induction, training and development, ensuring you build an inclusive culture where everyone is empowered to deliver great customer service.
  • Build and manage relationships, understanding the important role your store plays in supporting the local community.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in fast-paced, service-focused environments such as retail, convenience or the hospitality sector.
  • A passion for spotting and developing talent.
  • A passion for rolling up your sleeves to support the team in delivering the store objectives.

At Morrisons, we're passionate about our people and growing our own talent. As a Store Manager, your hours will be driven by the needs of your customers and the business. You may be involved in managing and interacting with children 16 and under, due to our large Home News Delivery operation. Therefore, the successful candidate may be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check, or if you're based in Scotland, a PVG check before joining the business.

Some of our stores offer their local communities post office services, therefore you may also be required to undergo a P250 check as part of your offer of employment, which includes a financial check.

Morrisons acquired the McColl's business in 2022. Our convenience proposition consists of a network of 1,004 convenience stores and newsagents. Our stores are made up of Morrisons Daily, McColl's, Martins and R S McColl stores across England, Scotland, and Wales.

Our aim is to be Your Favourite Neighbourhood Shop, providing a great range of quality everyday products and services, close to where people live, so we're always available when customers need us.
