Industrial Door Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Door Engineer to join our team in Milton Keynes, Luton, or Oxford. As an Industrial Door Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of equipment, including industrial doors, roller shutters, speed doors, gates, barriers, and automatic doors.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Servicing, maintaining, and repairing loading bays, dock levellers, dock shelters, buffers, wheel guides, and traffic light systems.
  2. Maintenance of automatic gates and car park barriers.
  3. Basic electrical wiring.
  4. Fault finding on electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment.
  5. Occasional maintenance of automatic doors manufactured by companies such as Assa Abloy, Record, Geze, Dorma, Stanley, Tormax, and Horton.
Requirements:
  1. Experience working on industrial doors, speed doors, and loading bay equipment.
  2. Hold relevant industry qualifications such as: DHF, EN 16005, NVQ Level 2 Industrial Door Maintenance, CSCS Card, PASMA, IPAF.
  3. Have a clean driving licence.

In return, the successful Industrial Door Engineer will receive an excellent remuneration package which includes:

  1. £18 - £22 per hour depending on experience.
  2. Overtime rates paid at 1.0.
  3. 28 days holiday plus paid Christmas shutdown.
  4. External supplier training courses.
  5. Annual bonus worth up to £1200.
  6. 1 week in 8 callout rota. £60 per week standby plus £35 per callout and premium overtime rates when on call.
  7. Fully stocked company van.
  8. Mobile phone.
  9. Regular incentives and bonuses.
  10. Pension scheme.
