MEP Cost Planner Job Description

We are seeking a skilled MEP Cost Planner to join our Pre-Construction team at Kier Group. As an MEP Cost Planner, you will play a crucial role in providing cost planning expertise and commercial advice on projects with a wide range of clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop cost plans with a high degree of commercial acumen.
  • Attend client-facing meetings to articulate cost plan details clearly to clients and design teams.
  • Liaise with design consultants to advise on the commercial effects of design proposals.
  • Provide affordability advice and value manage throughout the procurement process.
Requirements:
  • Experience in cost planning and commercial advice on construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, procurement routes, and delivery models.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to accurately understand client briefs and identify opportunities to add value.
