Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our team at KNAPP. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our warehouse equipment, ensuring seamless operations and high productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including mechanical strip-down and re-assembly, basic field wiring, and system testing.
  • Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of site MHE to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Manage time effectively using our CMMS system to achieve over 90% utilization.
  • Continuously improve equipment performance and efficiency, with a focus on health and safety.
  • Work efficiently to complete reactive repairs within tight timeframes.
  • Collaborate with on-site management to ensure timely completion of tasks and address any concerns.
  • Service and repair installed products, demonstrating a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • Interpret electrical circuit diagrams and work with 415V motor controls.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to health and safety protocols.
  • Operate hand tools and assemble parts onto equipment.
  • Follow established procedures and checklists to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop a strong understanding of control systems and their applications.
  • Be adaptable and willing to learn new skills and technologies.

Requirements

  • NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in an Electro-Mechanical Engineering discipline.
  • Understanding of Non-Destructive Technologies and Testing.
  • Knowledge of PLCs and their functions.
  • Pneumatic and Hydraulic knowledge beneficial.
  • Computer literacy with basic Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience with CMMS systems and engineering stores.
  • HNC/HND equivalent desirable.
