Join a well-established transport/haulage organisation in Colchester and take on a challenging role as a Transport Planner.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in planning UK routes for general haulage, with experience of running their own cost centre and extensive knowledge of major road networks.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Routing vehicles and covering deliveries across the UK.
  2. Managing a fleet of vehicles and working in a team of planners.
  3. Providing excellent communication with traffic office teams and drivers to ensure customer KPIs and targets are achieved.
  4. Using in-house planning tools and systems to manage workload and monitor efficiency.
  5. Controlling and planning of resources, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
  6. Warehouse checks and monitoring delivery performance.
  7. Advising customers of issues affecting time or completion.

This is a Monday to Friday role, with occasional weekend working if required. Free parking is available on site, and the company offers genuine progression and an attractive salary for the right candidate.
