Job Overview

Tarmac is seeking a skilled Transportation Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for optimizing transportation programs to maximize volume and economic efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement transportation strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely communication and updates on planned solutions
  • Support fleet and transport planners to ensure high levels of vehicle utilization and low levels of haulier queries
  • Ensure high levels of service and communication with internal and external customers
  • Manage material service levels through detailed pre-planning and regular communication with strategic customers

Requirements

  • Experience in transportation planning and logistics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build working relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with transportation management systems and software
