Job Title: Health Care Support Worker

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Health Care Support Worker to join our team at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support in our busy Day Case Unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical and non-clinical support to patients and staff under direct or indirect supervision.
  • Participate in patient assessment and provide holistic patient care.
  • Promote patient safety by escalating concerns to the clinical nursing team.
  • Assist with day-to-day tasks, including clinic preparation, filing, and appointment management.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Lead by example and supervise/support junior members of staff to improve and maintain high standards of care.

Person Specification:
Essential:
  • NVQ 2 or 3 or equivalent qualification in healthcare.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Good interpersonal skills to work with patients, carers, and staff.
Desirable:
  • Understanding of basic physiology, e.g., normal vital signs, fluid balance, nutritional requirements, etc.
