About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver excellent patient care under the supervision of registered practitioners, including personal care, food, and personal hygiene.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and provide support with eating and drinking as needed.
  • Contribute to the overall assessment of patients by measuring and recording height, weight, body mass index (BMI).
  • Assist with taking specimens from patients for ward or laboratory testing.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, and contribute to clear and concise paper and electronic patient documentation.
Requirements
  • Maths and English skills equivalent to Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Experience of working within a team and caring for patients in an acute setting (desirable).
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English in writing, via IT, verbally, and using the telephone.
