Job Title: Functional Skills Tutor

TP Tutors is seeking a dedicated and experienced Functional Skills Tutor to join our team. As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students in developing their English and Maths skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging 1-1 and group-based functional skills sessions to learners.
  • Assess learners' progress and provide constructive feedback to facilitate their learning and development.
  • Identify individual learner needs and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records of learner attendance, progress, and achievements.
  • Provide emotional support to learners as needed.

Requirements:

  • Professional Teaching Qualification (QTS) or significant TA/Tutoring experience.
  • Experience of working with children/young people with SEND, SEMH, or other additional needs.
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one via TP Tutors.
  • Professional references from two most recent employers, covering 24 months of a 10-year career history.

All pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the option to become permanent in the future.
