Senior Aircraft Loads Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Aircraft Loads Engineer to join our team at SkyBridge U.K. Ltd. As a key member of our project, you will play a critical role in deriving and analyzing loads for our aircraft, ensuring the structural integrity and safety of our innovative aerospace vehicle solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement load calculation methods and tools using Python and Matlab.
  • Lead the derivation of aircraft flight maneuver, gust/turbulence, ground, and VTOL loads from first principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the structure is optimized for loads, weight, stiffness, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform hand calculations and FEA to assess primary and secondary structures.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in Aeroelasticity analysis, including flutter and divergence.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the relevant field.
  • Strong programming skills, including Python, Matlab, and FEA software experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of Aerospace regulations, standards, and methodologies for loads derivations and structural analysis.
  • Experience with Fatigue and Damage Tolerance, as well as Machine Learning/AI.
