Viqu Limited has partnered with a leading entity in operational technology and digital transformation. Operating in highly regulated and demanding industrial sectors, they have successfully executed pivotal projects across energy, renewables, water, and manufacturing domains.

The successful Software Development Engineer will work within the Transmission and Distribution division, and will engage in the complete spectrum of systems development lifecycle: from initial specification and design through programming, rigorous testing, to final installation and commissioning. The responsibilities of the Software Development Engineer will range from setting up various instances of current solutions to crafting fresh solutions for clients based on fundamental needs. This role will also entail attending client meetings and conducting surveys, along with potential international travel for training seminars and collaborations with partners.

Key Requirements of the Software Development Engineer:

  • Proficient in PC usage and adept in managing electronic files and folders.
  • Thorough understanding of databases.
  • Capacity to quickly grasp the configuration and navigation of new products using manuals and online resources.
  • Strict adherence to health and safety protocols
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering (desired)
  • Knowledge of electrical principles (desired)
  • Hands-on exposure with Substation Control System (desired)
  • Knowledge of GE equipment or Copa-data Zenon SCADA (desired)
  • Valid UK Driving License
