About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Mental Health, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to adults with eating disorders, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the management of adults with eating disorders
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Conduct assessments and provide diagnoses for adults with eating disorders
  • Prescribe and manage medication as required
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care for patients

Person Specification

We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist with the following skills and experience:

  • Eligibility for inclusion on the Specialist Register with the GMC
  • Experience of working with adults with eating disorders
  • Strong clinical leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
