Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Tozer Associates. As a key member of our building services team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering electrical systems for a variety of mid to large-scale building projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the successful completion of projects by providing technical services in accordance with project time and quality.
  • Maintain, enhance, and apply both design and technical knowledge to ensure the production of high-quality drawings.
  • Design electrical systems, including lighting, HV & LV supply, small power distribution, earthing and lightning protection, fire and voice alarm systems, telecommunication services, low current and extra low voltage services, automatic controls, BMS, and other related electrical utility systems.
  • Prepare electrical design calculations, drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
  • Liaise with clients, professional organizations, contractors, suppliers, subcontractors, and other design teams.

Requirements

  • A BEng(Hons) Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
  • Excellent report writing skills, experience of making presentations, and attending meetings with clients essential.
  • A track record in the design of electrical systems on a variety of mid to large-scale building projects, including retail, mixed-use developments, hospitality, healthcare, offices, and industrial.
  • 6-12 years of relevant work experience in design and delivery of projects within the consulting industry.
  • Proficient in the use of IT systems, with experience of using Amtech Pro Design, Dialux, and/or Dialux Evo, Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
