Job Title: Apprentice Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Apprentice Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Dynamite. As an Apprentice Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the design and construction of electrical systems for various building projects.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Providing technical services to support project completion, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  2. Maintaining and enhancing design and technical knowledge to produce high-quality drawings and specifications.
  3. Electrical design of lighting, LV supply, and small power distribution systems, as well as earthing and lightning protection, fire and voice alarm systems, and other related electrical utility systems.
  4. Preparation of electrical design calculations, drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
  5. Participating in design progress and coordination meetings.
  6. Coordinating with other discipline engineers to ensure continuity of the design process.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A BEng(Hons) Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
  2. Excellent report writing skills, experience of making presentations, and attending meetings with clients.
  3. 4-8 years of relevant experience in design and delivery of projects within the consulting industry.
  4. Experience and track record in the design of electrical systems on a variety of building projects, including retail, mixed-use developments, hospitality, healthcare, offices, and industrial.
  5. Proficient in the use of IT systems, including Amtech Pro Design, Dialux, and/or Dialux Evo, Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
