SEN Support Staff

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students with special educational needs.
About the Role:As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create an inclusive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, adapting teaching methods to meet their individual needs.
- Assisting in the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and other support strategies.
- Supporting students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.
- Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure cohesive and effective student support.
- Assisting with classroom activities, including preparing materials and organizing resources.
- Monitoring and tracking student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience working with students with SEN is preferred.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support or education (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant, SEN diploma) is advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Commitment to supporting the educational and personal development of students with SEN.
