Why this role is essential:

You will play a key role in maintaining the Disaster Recovery (DR) and Technical Infrastructure (TI) capabilities for our global operations, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

Your responsibilities will include providing 1st and 2nd line support and analysis for all systems within your purview.

This position is vital in equipping teams responsible for operational TI and Critical Data (CD) capabilities with the necessary tools to deliver regulatory services effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be accountable for:

  • Leadership & Accountability: Operate under general guidance within a defined accountability framework, responsible for delivering technical solutions.
  • Planning: Organize your workload to meet established objectives and timelines.
  • Providing support to operational platforms in alignment with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Making informed technical decisions that impact project success and team goals.
  • Engaging in a diverse range of complex technical activities across various contexts.
  • Contributing to initiatives aimed at process improvement.
  • Ensuring all processes are documented, reviewed, and maintained effectively.
  • Managing incidents and changes proficiently.
  • Ensuring platforms are updated, managed, and compliant with the latest standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Deliver exceptional technical support for reported incidents; demonstrate a proactive approach to identifying root causes.
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Build practical and transparent relationships with customers, Global Security Services (GSS), and other BT teams.
  • Work effectively both under supervision and independently, maintaining a clear accountability framework.
  • Understand the design, standards, and security protocols of the Obligations system.
  • Have a solid grasp of networking fundamentals.
  • Be skilled in supporting platform technologies, including Windows, Linux, VMWare, Cisco, and Juniper.
  • Follow established processes for software and hardware patching and upgrades.
