We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our team at West Quay Shopping Centre, Southampton.

You will be responsible for Maintenance & reactive duties at West Quay Shopping Centre, Southampton.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. To carry out planned and reactive maintenance in accordance with the company's PPM and task schedules.
  2. Undertake PPM activity in a quality, professional manner.
  3. Use & complete CAFM system.
  4. Be part of the current shift team (Early, late & weekend)
  5. Production of technical and situational reports as required.
  6. Proactively use the technology systems given to you so that the Company can be compliant with its contractual obligations at all times
  7. Carry out the works requested in a professional and proactive manner at all times.
  8. To communicate clearly and effectively with the rest of the team and clients at all times.
  9. Provide first line out of hours call out for the site.
  10. Writing activity reports in line with Company procedures accurately and timely.
  11. Proactively assisting the management team to produce quotations by giving accurate and good quality information where extra works are identified.
  12. Attending team meetings/briefings
  13. To provide accurate time sheet information weekly and on time
  14. To ensure that the Company is presented in a good light at all times.
  15. Undertake reactive maintenance works as directed by the Help Desk and/or management team
  16. To escalate any major site issues or incidents to your line manager asap once noticed.
  17. To manage Integral sub-contractors whilst working on site
  18. Understand and be aware of the requirements of all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality legislation and are equally aware of their own roles and responsibilities within the Company.
  19. Ensure that all materials and equipment are handled, stored and used with due regard to the relevant Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
  20. Actively participate in the health and safety processes required under the Company policies and procedures on portfolio including, but not limited to, accident investigation, reporting, risk assessments and auditing
  21. Any other reasonable instruction from the Contract Manager or his Line Managers.
  22. Co-operating with the company to allow it to fulfil its moral and legal duties and obligations.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Commercial environment.
  2. LV Authorised Person (A Bonus)
  3. Electrical Engineering apprenticeship or similar
  4. C&G Pts. 1 & 2, equivalent or exceeds.
  5. 18th Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation (Ability to attain 18th Edition through additional training if you have 17th Edition)
  6. C&G 2391 test and inspection; BS 7671:2001 for inspection, testing and certification.
  7. Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff.
  8. Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.
  9. Have good IT and report writing skills.
  10. Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm, clear thinking and able to deliver the required services to the client within given time constraints.
