Mechanical Project Manager Construction

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Pre-Construction Manager to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a Mechanical Pre-Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing large-scale projects in the UK and ROI, ensuring deliverables are produced on schedule and budget.
Key Responsibilities- Management of Building Services Design process to ensure deliverables are produced on schedule and budget
- Advising on the selection of materials and other aspects of procurement
- Engagement with key specialist subcontractors to facilitate completion of design
- Ensuring design compliance with current legislation, standards, and codes of practice
- Engagement with the commercial and estimating teams to brief them on the agreed scope of works for each scheme
- Engagement with the client to discuss and review proposals to ensure they meet with client expectations
- Identifying and actioning potential risks, opportunities, and hazards
- Experience managing mechanical large-scale contracts
- Previous experience in a similar role or from an MEP Consultancy background
- Excellent attention to detail and effective communication
- Experience and understanding of multi-disciplinary design processes and design coordination
- Good commercial understanding of the Pre-Contract tender process
- Experienced user of MS Office suite
- A relevant third-level education
