Job Summary

Palladium is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment Advisor to join our team in Southampton or Eastleigh. As an Employment Advisor, you will play a vital role in the success of our Restart programme, which offers enhanced support to Universal Credit claimants who have been out of work for at least 6 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of customers and work with them to create and follow an individualized work plan towards sustained employment.
  • Assess customer needs and develop tailored support plans to meet their goals.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, employers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of the programme.
  • Monitor and evaluate customer progress, making adjustments to support plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and address customer barriers to employment, providing challenge, advice, and guidance to develop customers' capability in the recruitment process.
  • Develop an understanding of specialist signposting services in the local area, building knowledge in areas such as specific disabilities, housing, benefits, and more.
  • Meet personal performance targets, Key Performance Indicators, and all Quality and Compliance measures by delivering high-quality employability provision to customers, both remotely and face-to-face.

Requirements

  • A passion for working with people and a solution-focused approach.
  • Experience of working in a customer-focused, target-driven environment.
  • Experience of providing one-to-one support and coaching to individuals, with the ability to constructively challenge where needed.
  • A level of independence and professionalism to work independently and in a small team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Interest in welfare-to-work initiatives.

Desirable Qualifications

  • University degree or demonstrated track record of performance and success in target-driven sales, customer service, or case-management roles.
  • Knowledge of the employment market in the area.
