Job Description

Procurement Heads is seeking a seasoned Procurement Director to join our team and lead our procurement strategy and activity for both UK and European operations.

The successful candidate will report to the Finance Director and work closely with the C-suite to develop and drive the procurement strategy, ensuring the function is helping the organisation to meet its financial and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with the organisation's goals and objectives.
  • Supply Chain Management: Manage the effective delivery of the full procurement lifecycle, covering category planning, sourcing, supplier and contract management.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure the team's success.
  • Performance Measurement and Management: Set and track key performance indicators for the procurement function, identify areas for improvement, and develop plans to address them.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, suppliers, and other business partners.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading a procurement team and developing a procurement strategy that drives business value.
  • Procurement Expertise: Deep understanding of procurement processes, tools, and best practices, with expertise in category planning, sourcing, and supplier management.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand the organisation's goals and objectives and develop procurement strategies that align with them.
