The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload of statutory orders, conducting thorough assessments and implementing effective, strengths-based interventions tailored to individual needs.

The role includes:

  • Providing comprehensive supervision for young people under various orders, ensuring adherence to national standards.
  • Conducting high-quality assessments to develop personalized intervention strategies.
  • Preparing detailed Pre-Sentence reports for judicial proceedings.
  • Performing timely visits to assess and support young individuals in both community and secure settings.
  • Facilitating both individual and group interventions in accordance with the Youth Justice Service framework.
  • Completing all necessary reviews promptly and effectively.
  • Identifying and managing the needs and risks of youth in secure establishments.
  • Upholding national standards and local guidelines to deliver exceptional service.
  • Ensuring the safety of young people, victims, and the community through robust risk management practices.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong communication skills to engage with the public and provide clear guidance.
  • In-depth knowledge of Youth Justice System legislation and relevant policies.
  • The ability to build rapport and motivate young people to comply with justice orders.
  • Expertise in conducting comprehensive assessments and synthesizing information to inform intervention plans.
  • Proficiency in producing high-quality documentation and utilizing case management systems.

Qualifications:

A degree in a relevant field such as social work, youth work, education, or probation is essential.
