Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified Family/Children's Law Solicitor/Legal Executive to join our growing legal practice. The successful applicant will manage their own caseload, including complex and sensitive matters, in a warm and confident manner and will be required to attend Magistrates court to represent clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a caseload of Family/Children's Law cases, including complex and sensitive matters.
  2. Attend Magistrates court to represent clients.
  3. Work closely with the Director to grow and further develop the Family Law team.
  4. Collaborate with a team of Caseworkers and Paralegals to achieve team goals.

Requirements:

  1. At least 1 year of post-qualification experience (PQE) in Family/Child Law.
  2. Hold Family Law Accreditation, Child Law Accreditation would also be desirable.
  3. Experience of Legal Aid work.
  4. Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  5. Ability to build strong client relationships and to be able to empathise with clients at all levels.
  6. Self-motivated and commercially minded, with a drive to generate new work.
  7. Motivation to learn and self-develop.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  9. Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft packages and Case Management Systems.
