Childcare Lawyer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Childcare Lawyer to join our dynamic Legal Team at the London Borough of Lewisham. As a Childcare Lawyer, you will play a crucial role in providing legal advice and representation to our clients in child protection cases.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deputise for Senior Social Care Lawyers and handle a demanding caseload of child protection cases.
  • Advise Social Services clients on all aspects of relevant legislation and prepare legal documentation.
  • Attend meetings with clients, external parties, and professionals, and advise on social care law.
  • Carry out legal research and assist Senior Social Care Lawyers and Principal Lawyer as needed.
Requirements:
  • Qualified lawyer with at least 3 years PQE (Barrister, Solicitor, or CILEx).
  • Current practising certificate.
  • Experience in Childcare Law, preferably from a local authority setting.
