Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Category Manager to join our global Corporate Procurement organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of procurement strategies for goods and services across various business units and supporting areas.
Key Responsibilities- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to maximize Total Cost of Ownership savings and Procurement's value contribution.
- Identify business needs and develop procurement Sourcing strategies for categories in close collaboration with stakeholders, leveraging market trends and supplier capabilities.
- Manage key suppliers to maximize value delivery and minimize exposure for the company, working closely with the business.
- Establish best practices in supported domains and ensure compliance with policies, strategies, and processes.
- Contribute to the further development and professionalization of the procurement organization and processes.
- Work towards meeting mutually agreed Procurement targets, contributing to overall budget targets.
- Master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a comparable professional education.
- Minimum 5 years of valid experience in a similar function or related position, with in-depth knowledge of procurement.
- Seasoned practitioner of category management and supplier management processes.
- Proficient in negotiating and contracting, with knowledge of purchasing tools and methodologies.
- Strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, data-oriented, and comfortable with digital technologies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Ability to think critically, digest diverse inputs, and innovate solutions.
- Creative, agile, flexible, and resilient, with a high degree of self-management.
- Excellent English-written and spoken (and Dutch if based in Belgium).
- Experience with sustainable procurement is a plus.
