Job Title: Contract Safety Coordinator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring that all operational activities are safely carried out in accordance with relevant and current legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise and Present Information: Provide expert advice and present information relating to health and safety legislation to management, ensuring that they are aware of the latest developments and requirements.
- Represent the Company: Represent ZipRecruiter with regards to any interaction with regulatory bodies, ensuring that our organization is compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Preparation for Audits: Prepare for health and safety audits by conducting thorough risk assessments and ensuring that all necessary documentation is in place.
- Hazard Identification: Identify hazards and risks in the workplace and implement measures to mitigate them, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- System Management: Ensure that our health and safety system is well-managed and up-to-date, with regular reviews and updates to ensure compliance.
- Incident Management: Manage investigations and findings in the event of an incident, and continually strive to improve safety procedures and protocols.
- Collaboration with External Advisors: Work closely with external advisors to ensure that our health and safety practices are aligned with industry best practices.
- Training and Development: Provide advice on health and safety-related training and development opportunities for employees, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles safely.
- Reporting and Liaison: Produce regular reports on health and safety performance and liaise with the Quality and Environmental Manager to ensure that our organization is meeting its health and safety objectives.
- Inductions and Budget Management: Carry out health and safety inductions for new employees and manage the departmental budget for health and safety initiatives.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have in-depth health and safety understanding and ideally have a background in steel, construction, manufacturing, or engineering. You should also be adept at carrying out inspections and demonstrate the ability to work autonomously.
