Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior Software Development Authority

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly experienced and enthusiastic Senior Software Development Authority to lead a team as the Design Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex software systems, ensuring all design requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • **Software Design and Development:** Design, develop, and review software for a range of Sonar-related systems.
  • **Collaboration:** Collaborate with multi-discipline engineers to develop comprehensive solutions.
  • **Design Oversight:** Oversee design activities at equipment, system, and software levels.
  • **Technical Governance:** Ensure technical requirements are met through all design phases.
  • **Technical Guidance:** Provide technical guidance on engineering software design solutions.
  • **Problem-Solving:** Resolve technical, project, or resource problems in collaboration with Project Managers and other Design Authorities.
  • **Mentorship:** Mentor project personnel in software development.
  • **Research and Development:** Support research and development to improve engineering quality, efficiency, and cost.

Requirements:

  • **Education:** Degree in a related engineering discipline or relevant experience.
  • **Experience:** Proven industry experience in Sonar systems and software development.
  • **Skills:** In-depth knowledge of software design and development, proficiency in high-level programming languages such as C++, Java, and Linux-based systems.
  • **Ability:** Ability to manage engineering risks and deliver complex software systems.
