Position Overview:

As a Senior Clerk within the Committee/Chamber Office, you will play a pivotal role in the operations of the Scottish Parliament. This position offers a hybrid working model, allowing you to balance your time between home and the Parliament.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Members of the Scottish Parliament in their inquiries and debates on significant issues affecting Scotland.
  • Assist in the development of new legislation and hold the Scottish Government accountable.
  • Communicate complex political information clearly and effectively.
  • Conduct research on current political matters and gather evidence to support parliamentary activities.
  • Provide procedural and protocol advice to Members of the Scottish Parliament.
  • Engage with the public to ensure their voices are represented in parliamentary discussions.

Qualifications:
We are seeking individuals who are enthusiastic multi-taskers with a keen understanding of Scotland's political landscape. Candidates should possess:
