Job Description

  1. Lead Engineering Excellence
  • Spearhead the optimization of all engineering operations, utilizing processes to achieve world-class standards in productivity, quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale.
Build and Develop a High-Performing Team
  • Role model the company values, actively coaching and developing your team through robust management practices.
  • Foster effective communication and create development opportunities that align with the company's strategic objectives.
Ensure Compliance and Standards
  • Oversee health, safety, environment, quality, and reliability standards, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Support employees in achieving these standards through coaching, training, and resource allocation.
Asset Quality and Reliability
  • Lead the Progressive Maintenance (PM) pillar, ensuring the continuous improvement of the factory's assets.
Strategic Engineering Leadership
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with the brewery and broader business goals.
  • Manage budgets, capital plans, and long-term planning to ensure the engineering department meets or exceeds annual targets.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Science or Engineering;
  • Practical engineering qualifications or a time-served apprenticeship are highly valued.
  • Senior leadership experience within a Head of Engineering role, with strong exposure to food/beverage manufacturing.
  • Proven track record in building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Expertise in coaching across all levels using the learn-do-teach principle.
  • Extensive experience in implementing World Class Supply Chain processes in fast-moving consumer goods or chemical environments.
