We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD). As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality psychological care to children and young people experiencing significant and complex mental health difficulties and their families.
You will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, including Clinical Psychology, Systemic Psychotherapists, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists, CBT Therapists, Psychiatrists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Mental Health Practitioners from various backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assessments and therapy to children with severe, chronic, and enduring mental health concerns, such as depression, anxiety-based disorders, and Trauma.
- Work with children, young people, and families to understand their experiences and presenting concerns, providing evidence-based interventions.
- Consult, provide clinical supervision, and training to colleagues.
- Contribute to quality improvement and service development through clinical leadership skills.
- A Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.
- Post-qualification specialist therapy/assessment training relevant to children and young people.
- Experience of working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team and across agencies.
- Experience of working with children and young people with complex needs, maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems.
- Experience of undertaking specialist psychological assessments and providing evidence-based interventions.
- Experience in providing teaching and training.
- Experience of safeguarding children and ensuring the safety of young people in partnership with other agencies.
- Experience that evidences an ability to attend to diversity and work in a way that promotes anti-discriminatory practice.
