Clinical Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Director to lead our Clinical Lodge at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to children and young people with complex mental health needs.
Main Responsibilities- Manage a diverse cohort of service users, delivering high-quality care through clear organisation of lodge processes, structured governance and escalation routes and strong leadership and support for colleagues within the team.
- To demonstrate skills within assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care/treatment packages for children, young people and families.
- Provide clinical supervision to junior members of the team.
- Financial responsibility for the resources identified for the lodge, including staffing, environmental costs and lodge resources.
- To provide line management and clinical supervision.
- To work in collaboration with colleagues working in Specialist CAMHS and the wider education and social care network to provide a holistic package of care/treatment for identified children, young people and families.
- To provide clinical leadership and be a source of specialist clinical advice by having a working knowledge of specific therapeutic interventions, treatments and clinical management strategies.
- To ensure that the guiding principles of Clinical Governance are in place and that they are utilised to maintain and enhance clinical practice and quality within the team.

Qualifications and Training
Essential
- RMN / RN (Mental Health) or RLDN / RN (Learning Disabilities) registration OR Occupational Therapist registration/Social Work registration.
- Leadership development training.
- ADOS Training/ Neuro-developmental assessment training.
- Trauma informed practice training.
- EMDR Training.
Essential
- Significant post-registration experience in a CAMHS and/or Mental Health setting.
- Experience of working with and an in-depth understanding of safeguarding roles and processes when working with young people and families.
- Experience of using project management tools in the delivery of a service improvement project.
Essential
- Legal Frameworks relevant to CAMHS.
- An in-depth and comprehensive understanding of child development, Neuro-developmental conditions, trauma and attachment difficulties.
- Comprehensive mental health assessment and therapeutic intervention skills.
- Ability to motivate individuals and support continuous development of the team through strong interpersonal skills.
- Quality Assurance principles.
