Position Overview

As a Senior Software Engineering Lead at JPMorgan Chase within the ALML, Corporate Technology, you will play a pivotal role in steering multiple technical teams towards the advancement of financial technologies. This position presents a unique opportunity to make a significant impact through your expertise and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement software solutions, ensuring innovative approaches to design and technical troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, ML engineers, and other stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Architect, develop, and deploy cutting-edge AI/ML/LLM/GenAI solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Establish and maintain automated deployment pipelines for models, prioritizing scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Utilize optimization techniques to enhance generative models for specific NLP applications, focusing on quality outputs in summarization and text generation.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of generative models (e.g., GPT-4), iterating on architectures to improve performance in NLP tasks.
  • Set up monitoring systems to track model performance in real-time, ensuring reliability and effectiveness.
  • Effectively communicate AI/ML/LLM/GenAI capabilities and outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI/ML/LLM/GenAI research, applying innovative techniques and leveraging external APIs for enhanced functionality.
  • Contribute to a team culture that values diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications
  • Formal education or certification in software engineering principles, with substantial applied experience.
  • Proven experience in AI/ML engineering, particularly in developing and deploying critical machine learning models in production environments.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for model development and integration with APIs.
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and OpenAI API.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security protocols.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong knowledge of software applications and technical processes within relevant technical domains.
  • Comprehensive understanding of statistics and machine learning fundamentals, including classification, regression, and generative model architectures.
  • Ability to identify and address challenges in AI/ML/LLM/GenAI, implementing optimizations for enhanced performance.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with the financial services sector.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing pipelines utilizing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
  • Hands-on experience with advanced prompting strategies such as Chain-of-Thoughts and Graph-of-Thoughts.
  • A portfolio demonstrating successful applications of generative models in NLP projects, including OpenAI API utilization.
