Electrical Engineering Trainer Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Trainer to join our team at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC). As an Electrical Engineering Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical bias training to satisfy Awarding Body requirements and Apprenticeship Standard Duties/KSBs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver effective electrical bias training to learners, ensuring they meet the required standards.
  • Support the delivery of topics aligned with competencies of the individual, with a bias towards electrical-based knowledge and practical subjects.
  • Manage physical learning resources and teaching spaces to ensure the training and assessment of learners are achieved within guided learning hours.
  • Develop softer skills embedded within apprenticeships, providing regular constructive feedback to learners and recording the impact of their own learning on a regular basis.
Person Specification:
  • Industry-related qualifications such as L3 Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, or Degree.
  • Functional Skills Level 2 / GCSE's in Maths and English grade C or above.
  • Candidate should have high-level engineering knowledge, preferably gained from several years of industrial experience.
  • Experience of best practice in key competencies of the individual, e.g., Electrical or Mechanical installation.
  • Evidence of knowledge in teaching methodologies.
