Property and Casualty Underwriter Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Property and Casualty Underwriter to join our team at Zurich Municipal. As a market underwriter, you will work on all lines of business, with a focus on the Property and/or Casualty line.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver against underwriting and financial measures as outlined in the plan.
  • Qualify accounts to meet the organisation's appetite, consistent with sound business opportunities.
  • Accurately select, assess and price risk in line with underwriting mentorship.
  • Have an external presence within the Public Sector, visiting customers regularly to understand their risk and insurance requirements.
Requirements:
  • Essential experience in Property and Casualty underwriting.
  • Superior skills in relationship building, active listening, needs analysis and win-win negotiating.
  • Ability to effectively assess risk.
  • Strong knowledge of underwriting philosophy, techniques, national/local filing, regulations and guidelines.
